Ring Sausages

Ingredients

1 - 8"flat bread
1 tspolive oil
2 TbspItalian pesto sauce
1/2 cupshredded asiago cheese
50 gSIWIN Traditional Naturally Smoked Garlic Sausage, sliced
1/4 cupsliced crimini, shiitake or button mushrooms
1/4 cupfinely chopped sun-dried tomatoes (not in oil)
1/8 tspgarlic salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 220ºC (425ºF).
  2. Spread one side of the flat bread with olive oil and pesto sauce. Top with SIWIN Naturally Smoked Garlic Sausage, cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes, and season with garlic salt.
  3. Place flat bread pizza on cookie sheet and bake until cheese completely melts, about 5 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid scorching.

Ingredients

1 kgSmall Red Potatoes, washed well
500 gSIWIN Ham Garlic Sausage, sliced diagonally
5 slicesbacon, cut crosswise into 1/4" strips
1medium onion, chopped
1/2 tspsugar
1 Tbspcider vinegar
1/2 cupbeef broth
1 1/2 Tbspchopped fresh parsley
1 Tbspcider vinegar

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, put in potatoes, cover with water by about 1″ and simmer about 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200ºC (375ºF).
  2. While potatoes are cooking, slice the sausage diagonally into 1/2″ pieces, place on a baking sheet in the oven for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
  3. Meanwhile, fry bacon until crisp and reserve 2 tbsp of fat. Drain potatoes, cut into eighths and combine with bacon in a bowl. Cover mixture to keep warm.
  4. Sauté the onion in fat, stirring for 3 minutes until softened. Add sugar, vinegar and broth and simmer 2 minutes. Add onion mixture to warm potatoes with parsley and second quantity of vinegar, tossing gently, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pan-fry or grill the SIWIN Ham Garlic Sausage, and lay slices on top of the salad. Garnish with parsley. Serves 4.

Stir Fry Sizzlers

Ingredients

12 oz (340 g)thin rice stick noodles
1 Tbsp (15 mL)vegetable oil
13.2 oz (375 g) packageSIWIN Spicy Thai Stir-Fry Sizzlers (defrosted)
1 cup (235 mL)bean shoots
1 bunchgreen onions, chopped
2small red chilis, sliced
1/4 cup (300 mL)cilantro leaves

Directions

  1. Cook noodles in saucepan of boiling water for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand for 12 minutes; drain.
  2.  Heat oil in wok or frying pan. Slice package open and add SIWIN Spicy Thai Stir-Fry Sizzlers. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes until pork is cooked.
  3. Add bean shoots and green onions. Cook for 1 minute or until bean shoots are hot. Spoon pork over hot noodles. Sprinkle with chili and cilantro. Serves 4.

6 oz (175g)snow peas
1large red pepper
1 Tbsp (15 mL)vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Soak noodles in boiling water in heatproof bowl for 3 minutes until softened. Pry noodles apart; drain. Keep warm.
  2. Trim snow peas and thinly slice red pepper.
  3. Heat oil in wok or frying pan. Slice package open and add SIWIN Teriyaki Stir-Fry Sizzlers, peas and pepper. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes until pork and vegetables are cooked. Serve over hot noodles. Serves 4.

1/4 cup (300 mL)cilantro leaves

Directions

  1. Cook noodles in large saucepan of boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes until tender; drain.
  2. Trim peas.
  3. Heat oil in wok or frying pan. Add SIWIN Sweet and Sour Stir-Fry Sizzlers and peas. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes until pork and peas are cooked. Spread over hot noodles. Sprinkle with cilantro leaves. Serves 4.

Ingredients

1 cup (235 mL)fragrant rice
2medium carrots
1 bunchgreen onions
1 Tbsp (15 mL)vegetable oil
13.2 oz (375 g) packageSIWIN Korean Barbeque Stir-Fry Sizzlers (defrosted)

Directions

  1. Heat 1 1/2 cups (355 mL) of water in medium saucepan. Add rice and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low. Cook, covered for 15 minutes; fluff with fork.
  2. Cut carrots into strips. Chop green onions.
  3. Heat oil in wok or frying pan. Add SIWIN Korean Barbecue Stir-Fry Sizzlers and carrots. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 7 minutes until pork and carrots are tender. Add green onions. Spoon over hot rice. Serves 4.

Asian Sausages

Ingredients

50 gSIWIN Naturally Smoked Hot Chili Sausage, sliced
75 gseafood (peeled tiger shrimp, mussels, clams and scallops are all good)
1 pkg (100 g)saffron rice or risotto mix
1 tsplemon juice

Directions

  1. Prepare the rice according to package directions.
  2. On a hot grill or in a skillet lightly coated with vegetable oil, gently cook the seafood with the SIWIN Naturally Smoked Hot Chili Sausage. Do not overcook.
  3. Add seafood to the rice and toss. Drizzle with lemon juice. Serves two.

Ingredients

100 gSIWIN Asian-style BBQ Sausage, sliced
1 pkg (100 g)tomato and herb risotto mix
2"fresh ginger, grated
1 bunchspring onion (or 1 large onion)
4 tspolive oil
2 tspsesame oil
5 1/2 cupscooked rice
1/2 cupwater
2 Tbspfresh basil, chopped
2 Tbspfresh coriander, chopped
2 Tbspfresh parsley, chopped
20black olives (optional)
salt and pepper, to taste
4 tspolive oil

Directions

  1. Heat about 2 tsp of oil in a nonstick pan and fry SIWIN Grilled Asian-Style BBQ Sausage for 2-5 minutes, turning frequently until lightly browned (Sausage is pre-cooked).
  2. Cook rice according to package directions.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ingredients with rice. Serves 4.

Ingredients

250 gSIWIN Smoked Sausage, sliced diagonally into 1/2" pieces
500 g canmixed beans
4thyme sprigs
6bay leaves
2 Tbspolive oil
500 gbacon, cut into 2" pieces
1onion, diced
2carrots, sliced 1 cm thick
5cloves garlic, chopped
1 cupred wine
1 cupbeef broth
4 Tbsptomato paste
1 tspsalt
1 tspblack pepper
1crusty baguette, for serving

Directions

  1. Place the beans in a large saucepan. Add the onion and carrot, 2 of the thyme sprigs and 3 of the bay leaves. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and let simmer about 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook bacon in olive oil until crispy.
  3. Add the diced onion, sliced carrots and garlic and cook on low heat until the onion turns translucent. Add remaining 3 bay leaves and 2 thyme sprigs and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the wine, broth, tomato paste, salt and pepper. Raise heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil stirring frequently. Once the tomato paste has dissolved, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat the SIWIN Smoked Sausage slices in a lightly oiled skillet or on a hot grill.
  6. Add the vegetable mixture and return to a low heat. Stir well and cover. Let the cassoulet simmer until most of the wine mixture has been absorbed. Spoon onto plates and sprinkle with bacon. Top with sausage and serve with baguette on the side. Serves 4-6.
